Our Name 

Lítill Lapsi means 'small child' in a mixture of Icelandic and Finnish. It's a nod to our Scandinavian heritage and it's for those who matter the most. The small people at our tables who deserve better than soap-flavoured dinners. 

Small child. Big difference. 

Our Story 

Lítill Lapsi was born after one too many meal refusals. 

One evening I took a bite from my toddlers plate and found the reason. Her food tasted like soap. 

The plate she had been eating off for months had quietly absorbed every wash cycle and I had no idea. 

I started serving her meals on our 'adult' plates, and it was great, until one hit the floor. 

We didn't have anything in New Zealand that was ceramic AND stayed on our table. So we fixed that. 

We are proud to be NZ owned and operated, mum founded and based in the might Waikato. 

Lítill Lapsi was nurtured while raising two young children and working full-time - testing, refining, and improving until these products met the standard we wanted for our own family.
