First of all I want you to think about the material your plate is made from- It's probably ceramic.

There's a good reason for that.

Ceramic is-

• Non-porous. The surface is sealed. Bacteria, odours and detergent have nothing to hold onto. No more soap tasting silicone plates.
• Naturally Hygenic. Doesn't harbour bacteria like porous materials can and there's no gaps for germs to hide in between.
• Hypoallergenic. No hidden irritants leaching into your food, no allergens, no nasties.
• Built to last. Our ceramic dinnerware is 2x the thickness of regular ceramic plates and the silicone sleeve helps protect against drops/chips.

I have my set! What now?

We recommend separating from the silicone lining and cleaning each item before use. Let them dry completely before putting back together for use.

Are they dishwasher safe?

Yes, everything at Lítill Lapsi is dishwasher safe, we recommend top rack where possible and seperating the silicone suction base from the ceramic inner.

Can you put them in the microwave?

Yes, that's one of our favourite things about ceramic. You can take it straight from the fridge, to the microwave then straight to the table. No extra dishes, just one plate/bowl doing everything.

How do I remove the silicone suction base?

Simply grip the edge and peel it away from the plate/ bowl. Once its fully clean and dry you can push the ceramic back into the lining and store for the next use. We store ours upside down to prevent unnecessary suction to your cupboard shelving.

How do I remove the strong suction from my table/highchair?

There is a small tab under each of our bowls/plates, you can put your finger under this to 'break the seal'. Our suction works best on smooth, flat, non-porous surfaces.

My ceramic has a chip, is it safe to use?

A small chip on the exterior of the plate/bowl away from the eating surface does not affect food saftey. If it is the rim of the item we recommend replacement. If it arrived like this please reach out to us and we will replace it.

Absolutely. We would not offer anything but non toxic materials!

They are free from Lead, cadmium and heavy metals.

Our glaze is certified food-safe to international FDA standards. This standard of testing has been verified by the ILAC (International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation)

These standards are among the most rigorous food safety frameworks in the world and are stricter than New Zealand's own requirements.

Our silicone is also BPA free and food safe

We aim to ship items within 5-8 days of purchase and work with couriers that aim for a 3 day delivery timeframe.

We have a flat rate for shipping and offer FREE shipping above $100 . Our flat rates below this are $8.50 North Island, $13.50 for rural delivery and $14.50 for the South Island
